Position Overview

The Vertical Account Director (reporting to the SVP, Go-to-Market Strategy & Growth) is responsible for leading new business opportunities for the Telecommunications Vertical. We are looking for someone preferably located in the Northwest region of the US so they can work and travel in the same time zones as the enterprise-level clients they will be supporting.

Responsibilities

  • Pipeline Generation: Work directly with Adobe Industry teams and Industry Segment head and MCO/CSG orgs at Infosys to drive vertical pipeline. Including but not limited to: Account Planning, Conference Attendance, Outreach, Capabilities Sessions.
  • Lead and Close Opportunities: Once qualified, lead deals successfully to contract close. This includes: Running Prospect/Adobe/Infosys calls/meetings with a deep focus on listening to customer business issues. Crafting proposals to solve the business issues and impress the prospect, collaboration with estimation and resourcing teams, guidance of SMEs assigned to support a deal, and financial analysis to ensure adequate gross margin for RFPs, Proactive Deals and Staffing Opportunities. 
  • Revenue Growth: Meet or exceed New Business quarterly and annual booking targets and revenue recognition. Own the book of business for assigned vertical. 
  • Infosys Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong and friendly relationships with key Infosys stakeholders across leadership, accounts, sister agencies and horizontal practices. Be the go-to for leads for the vertical.
  • Adobe Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong and friendly relationships with Adobe IC sales leads and AVPs. Be the go-to for leads for the vertical. 
  • Account Director Mentorship: Guide Account Director in the vertical to incrementally grow existing client business. Monitor existing account spend and trends to deploy pipeline growth strategies and intervention from ELT when appropriate. 
  • Marketing Deployment: Work directly with Marketing to deploy automated content, newsletters, webinars, etc to drive interest in Adobe and Blue Acorn iCi. 
  • Sales Processes: Help to optimize sales processes by calling out areas for improvement and proactively bringing ideas to SVP of Growth and Sales Operations
  • Sales > Delivery Transition: Once a deal is closed/won, ensure the deal is transitioned into delivery smoothly by setting proper expectations with both the prospect/client and delivery teams. Ensures seamless handoff to Account Director assigned to the Vertical. 
  • Collaboration with Leadership and ELT: Work closely with other departments such as marketing, delivery, finance, sales operations, solutions consulting and Infosys. 
  • Training and Continuous Improvement: Research and implement vertical-specific conference attendance and virtual training for the team.
  • Continuous Feedback Loops: Consult with delivery teams and SVP of Growth on trends across the vertical relevant to platforms and industry-specific solutions. 
  • CRM Management: Consistently keeps CRM data accurate for financial planning purposes. Opens/closes/updates deals in CRM and opens support/estimation/resourcing tickets as needed. 

Minimum Qualifications Needed

  • 8+ years experience in business development / sales or similar role 
  • Experience at professional services company such as an agency or consulting firm
  • Experience working in Digital Experience (eCommerce, Content, Analytics)
  • Experience with Adobe suite of products a plus
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing or related field

Measurement

  • New Business quarterly booking goals and recognized revenue.
  • Pipeline growth. Quarterly pipeline by vertical. As needed, deploy marketing budget to ensure adequate pipeline.
