Position Summary

Blue Acorn iCi Unified Delivery organization office is looking for an experienced and highly dynamic leader to take on a senior Delivery leadership role. The Delivery Director role is a critical leadership position responsible for managing and delivering a portfolio of large Ecommerce and Content Management implementations.  They are accountable for delivery quality, performance to budget and successful attainment of Customer business objectives / goals. 

The Delivery Director will also develop and maintain strategies and processes to deliver best-in-class consulting and implementation services to accelerate customer success on their Digital Experience journey.  The goal is to ensure successful delivery of complex and large implementations.

The Delivery Director will support the Pre-Sales / Sales processes to ensure continuity of proposed services throughout the implementation.  They will also help grow the footprint on existing clients through partnership with the Blue Acorn Account Director (AD) by identifying and recommending additional value added services.  Together with the AD the Delivery Director will serve as the strategic partner for the client and work to become their trusted advisor.  


Responsibilities

  • Responsible for all delivery aspects such as productivity, quality, and milestone achievement 
  • Provide leadership, mentorship, and management of Project Management teams
  • Make recommendations for the continuous improvement of policies and procedures as it relates to key delivery practices (PMO, QA, Engineering, etc.)
  • Create an environment of trust with the client where any challenges/risks can be openly and timely discussed
  • Set up engagements for financial and delivery success, in terms of contracts, team, product, and solutions
  • Monitor assessment of critical project success factors for tracking, analysis and reporting including profitability, impact of potential project risks in terms of delivery, relationship, people, and all aspects associated with the engagement
  • Review and approve all Statements of Work, Change Requests and Amendments as they move through the approval process.  Partner with the Account Director to develop creative solutions to challenging client requests to optimize the solution.  
  • In partnership with Account Director, lead weekly/biweekly project leadership calls, monthly client executive steering calls and quarterly business reviews and strategic planning sessions.   
  • Serve as the ultimate point of escalation for the project team and the client.   
  • Maintain knowledge of the client portfolio of projects and workstreams 
  • Build strong relationships with the Digital Experience (DX) team and leverage services to drive value added outcomes
  • Strive for the best outcome for the client in terms of business satisfaction and end-customer value
  • Keep teams informed on organizational goals, associated plans, and progress
  • Attend industry events and maintain an updated knowledge of digital solutions, trends and new partner offerings 

Qualifications

  • Knowledge of Adobe, Shopify, ERP, systems and tools highly desirable
  • 15+ years IT industry experience with a minimum 10+ years of experience in services delivery organization
  • Ability to travel as high as 50% as is demanded by the needs of our customers and our business
  • Experience at professional services company such as an agency or consulting firm
  • Experience working in eCommerce / Digital Services
