POSITION SUMMARY:

Blue Acorn iCi is currently seeking a contract AEM Full Stack Engineer (who also has Alpine JS experience) to join a project working alongside our delivery team (with some travel required for in-person project meetings/workshops). The engineer will deliver complex content management solutions to customers and be able to work effectively both as an individual and as part of a team. They will participate in the implementation of a large enterprise AEM initiatives and will be responsible for design and development of web applications using the AEM platform, including, but not limited to, designing and developing site structure, custom components, custom workflows, object model designs (Java APIs), implementation strategy, and unit testing. 

JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Work alongside software developers and architects, UX / UI visual designers and architects, and product developers 
  • Develop, implement, and configure web content management solutions using AEM (Adobe CQ) and technologies such as Java, HTML/DHTML, XML, JavaScript, and web services 
  • Discover, design, and build highly interactive interfaces and content that keep users engaged and build positive brand equity at every possible point in the user experience 
  • Slice, mark-up, and script interfaces and content on content managed, responsive websites / systems that work flawlessly on desktop, tablet, phone, and other devices 
  • Work with Adobe Experience Manager (CQ5 and AEM6) as well as other CMS 
  • Ability to work closely with back end developers to produce solutions and smooth integrations 
  • Work directly with servers and server-side: AJAX, JS 
  • Setup and configuration of AEM Author and Publish instances and ensuring all code works in both environments 
  • Setup and configuration of dispatcher or proxy to run in front of AEM 
  • Translating business requirements into technical details relevant to AEM 
  • Designing reusable AEM components for authoring content 
  • Provide input into estimating engagement activities and execute engagements following the Agile methodology including SCRUM 
  • Create events and listeners on content and interaction to produce meaningful reporting (Google Analytics, Adobe Marketing Suite, and other conversion tags) 
  • Leveraging APIs / Web Services and content of all types (REST, SOAP, XML, JSON, etc.) 
  • Delivering product and apps that are based on pre-existing wireframes, designs, or other client requirements 
  • Assist clients in achieving strategic objectives through technology solution implementation 
 

QUALIFICATIONS:    

  • Ability to travel up to 25% for in person team meetings/workshops
  • Alpine JS experience required
  • Vanilla JS experience
  • Typescript experience
  • 3+ years of AEM (Adobe Experience Manager - CQ5/AEM 6) full stack development experience
  • Hands on experience with Front End frameworks  
  • MVC Frameworks (React preferred) - Equal balancing of the model and controller aspects of MVC as opposed to just the view 
  • 3-5 years of web content management system experience working with one or more CMS packages, including Adobe CQ5 (AEM) version 5.3 or above 
  • Working knowledge and understanding of the following: JCR, Apache Sling, Apache Felix, OSGi, REST, JavaScript, jQuery, AJAX, JSON, HTML, CSS 
  • Intermediate to advanced JavaScript principles and fundamentals 
  • HTML, JSP, HTL (and other templating languages) 
  • Extensive knowledge of Git and Git commands 
  • Bootstrap 3 
  • CSS Preprocessors (LESS / SASS) 
  • Ability to juggle multiple projects while meeting stringent deadlines 
  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Computer Science and/or equivalent experience in the development industry 





The US average pay range for this contract position is $60 - $70/hour. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations, but they are subject to change based on the following factors: role, experience level, education/certification, job-related skills, and working location. Please note that some states within the US have pay/hiring laws that may affect the salary range listed above.
