POSITION SUMMARY:
Blue Acorn iCi is looking for a User Acceptance Tester (with experience in Telecom) who is available to work on-site in one of the following locations: Overland Park, KS - Bellevue, WA - Dallas, TX - Herndon, VA - Atlanta, GA. This role will be responsible for supporting execution of quality assurance and testing plans for the project teams. The ideal candidate will work closely with product managers, developers, and business analysts to ensure that the software products meet the specified requirements and are ready for deployment. As a UAT Engineer, you will play a crucial role in validating that the product works as expected from an end-user perspective.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Collaborate with product teams to understand project requirements, user stories, and expected workflows.
- Develop and execute UAT test plans, test cases, and scripts to ensure software functionality aligns with business needs and expectations.
- Conduct thorough UAT testing, including functional, regression, and performance testing, across various environments and devices.
- Identify and report defects, inconsistencies, or usability issues in the software and work with development teams to ensure timely resolution.
- Validate user interface (UI) and user experience (UX) aspects to ensure the product is intuitive and user-friendly.
- Verify that all workflows and system integrations perform correctly under expected conditions.
- Provide feedback to developers and product managers on product improvements and potential risks.
- Prepare and maintain detailed test documentation, including test cases, defect reports, and test results.
- Communicate testing progress, issues, and risks to stakeholders effectively and proactively.
- Participate in test sign-off meetings to ensure proper documentation and closure of UAT cycles.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Must be available to work on site in one of the cities listed above
- Must have Telecom experience
- 3+ years of UAT experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Proven experience in User Acceptance Testing, Quality Assurance, or software testing.
- Strong understanding of testing methodologies, testing life cycles, and defect management processes.
- Experience with test management tools (e.g., Jira, TestRail, Quality Center).
- Ability to create comprehensive test plans and test cases based on business requirements and user stories.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to report findings clearly and concisely.
- Experience working with cross-functional teams and coordinating between business, technical, and product teams.
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies and experience in Agile project environments.
- Experience with Adobe applications and/or Adobe Cloud products is a plus
Preferred Skills:
- Familiarity with automated testing tools and scripting languages.
- Experience with performance testing tools like LoadRunner or JMeter.
- Knowledge of web and mobile application testing.
