Position Overview
The Proxy Product Owner is more than a business analyst or project manager. They are stewards of the solution as a representative product owner on behalf of the client, being able to direct the delivery team per the direction and interests of the “product.”
Responsibilities
- Work with business stakeholders across multiple teams to solicit requirements
- Compare requirements across stakeholders to inform and validate the Proposed Design
- Ensure capability roadmap is aligned across workstreams, being able to deliver baseline engine functionality dependent team integration while prioritizing marketing use case delivery in parallel
- Represent both business and IT Product Owner interests, considering that the requirement is to deliver the “Notification Engine” platform of technology services to business users
- Serve as internal decision maker for all business requirements relating to the solution scope; the Proxy Product Owner is the liaison to the client Product Owner
- Together with the Scrum Master, facilitate sprint planning and refinement activities
Skills
- Must be available to travel one time each month during the project to meet with client on site in either Chicago or Milwaukee
- Exceptional communication and mediating skills, being able to find consensus among multiple stakeholders
- Strong leaderships skills, able to be entrusted with a product by client stakeholders, and acting with authority to drive successful delivery of the solution
- Should have experience in working with marketing orchestration as a business user, being familiar with its typical use cases and able to understand the value of system integration
- Must understand and be able to speak in terms of technical requirements, with an ability to interpret designs from the Technical Architect, being able to effectively communicate their value to and shape them based on inputs from client business and IT stakeholders
- Adobe Experience Cloud product experience is preferred, specifically involving Adobe I/O; alternatively, experience in delivering large-scale event notification platforms and solutions may be considered
- Must have working experience with Agile concepts and Scrum methodology
