Description:
Blue Acorn iCi is looking for a Delivery Director with hands-on project experience with Adobe applications and/or Adobe Cloud products. The Delivery Director’s primary responsibility is to lead and manage a delivery team. They are accountable for delivery quality, performance to budget and successful attainment of Customer business objectives / goals. In addition, they will ensure the right team members are placed in the correct positions, manage relationships with our customers as needed, and enforce the use of best practices. The director is also responsible for hiring, onboarding, and assisting with resourcing as it relates to the members of the team. This position should also be able to work with other departments to ensure smooth and successful operations across the company as it pertains to delivery.

Core Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for all delivery aspects such as productivity, quality, and milestone achievement   
  • Ensuring team members have access to the tools and materials they need to deliver in their day-to-day activities.
  • Ensure proper process and SDLC are being followed across all projects
  • Ensure career paths exist for individuals and work with them to make sure they are on the right paths to meet their personal goals.
  • Working with People Leaders and Mentors to ensure the robust development of all individuals.
  • Align with Platform leadership and Operations on project resourcing and staffing needs
  • Serve as the ultimate point of escalation for the project team and the client.  
  • Align with Estimation Manager on project estimations
  • Review and sign off on SOWs and Change Orders as needed
  • Assist with recruiting, interviewing, and hiring to fill immediate needs as well as plan for forecasted growth
  • Assist sales with technical support and strategic alignment
  • Enforcement of company policy and architectural alignment

Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 8-10 years' experience managing enterprise engagements.  
  • Experience working on projects with Adobe applications
  • Thorough and deep knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle and Agile processes
  • Knowledge of or ability to understand technologies such as HTML, CSS, SOAP, REST, Git, AEM
  • Ability to communicate and document technical designs to both internal and external technical resources
  • Ability to train and mentor development staff
  • Proven ability to build, manage, and foster a team-oriented environment
  • Proven ability to work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment
  • Excellent communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent leadership and management skills
  • Capable of driving and defending design models and best practices
  • Ability to inspire confidence in clients and provide leadership to implementation teams
  • Ability to train and mentor direct managers as well as technical staff.
  • Strategic planning skills to help navigate internal and external customer requirements.
  • Ability to understand unique and complex business requirements and help develop plans to solve short and long term problems.
  • Ability to coach and guide employees through career paths

Education / Experience:
  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in computer science and/or equivalent experience in development industry
  • 15+ years IT industry experience with a minimum 10+ years of experience in services delivery organization  
  • Experience at professional services company such as an agency or consulting firm
  • Experience working in eCommerce / Digital Services
  • Experience with Adobe Commerce, Salesforce Commerce Cloud, Shopify+ platforms
  • Experience with Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) or other CMS
