AEM Fullstack Developer (AEM + Next.js + Node.js)

What You’ll Do
We are seeking an experienced AEM Fullstack Developer to support a high-impact digital experience initiative with a leading financial services client (State Street). This role requires strong hands-on development across AEM (AEMaaCS and/or on-prem) combined with modern frontend frameworks such as Next.js and backend experience in Node.js and Java.
You will play a key role in designing, developing, and integrating scalable digital solutions, working closely with cross-functional teams including architects, marketers, and product stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop scalable solutions using Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) across both frontend and backend layers
- Build and integrate modern frontend applications using Next.js and JavaScript frameworks
- Develop backend services and integrations using Node.js and Java
- Work within AEM as a Cloud Service (AEMaaCS) and/or on-prem environments
- Collaborate on CI/CD pipelines, cloud deployments, and DevOps best practices
- Integrate AEM with third-party systems, APIs, and marketing technologies
- Support content migrations, component development, and platform enhancements
- Partner with stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions
- Ensure performance optimization, scalability, and code quality
Required Qualifications
- 8–12+ years of experience in software development, with strong focus on AEM
- Hands-on experience with AEM (AEMaaCS and/or on-premise)
- Strong proficiency in:
- Java
- JavaScript / Next.js
- Node.js
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and cloud environments
- Solid understanding of AEM architecture, components, workflows, and integrations
- Experience working across fullstack development (frontend + backend)
- Ability to work in hybrid/on-site environments (must be located near listed locations)
Nice to Have
- Experience with:
- React.js (especially within AEM/Next.js ecosystems)
- Adobe Analytics, Adobe Target
- EDS (Edge Delivery Services)
- Prior experience in financial services or enterprise environments
- Experience with content migration projects
